WHAT OTTAWA IS TALKING ABOUT
🚉 Bad weather has cancelled dozens of trains this week on the Montréal – Ottawa – Toronto route. VIA says that it is a short term measure and the extra trains will be kept aside in case they are needed to assist stranded trains. – Josh Pringle at CTV
🏢 Carleton member of Parliament Bruce Fanjoy is criticizing his own party, the Liberals, over the Federal employee return to office mandate. ‘There is little to no evidence that a one-size-fits-all RTO policy will improve productivity or service to Canadians’, he says. The Federal government has ordered most Federal employees back to the office four days per week by summer and and five days per week for executives. – CBC
↪ The Federal government recorded 2,681 cases of misconduct and wrongdoing by public employees last year, resulting in 145 terminations and 783 suspensions without pay.
