WHAT OTTAWA IS TALKING ABOUT
đĢ The Province is making major changes to the trustees of the Ottawa Carleton District School Board and Ottawa Catholic School Board. The new rules will limit the number of trustees to 10, reduce their annual salary to $10,000 per year, and limit what expenses can be reimbursed. Each district will also have two new roles, a Chief Executive Officer and a Chief Education Officer (CEdO). While the Board can hire a new Chief Executive, it will require the permission of the Ministry to fire one.
The trustees of the Ottawa Carleton District School Board are currently sidelined while the Province has the district under supervision. There is no word when that may change. – Josh Pringle at CTV
