WHAT OTTAWA IS TALKING ABOUT

ðĶĪ Almonte was briefly on high alert as the notorious emu, Enzo, escaped. Enzo fled Gagné Homestead and Rescue and headed downtown, with ‘the grace of a prehistoric runway model and the speed of pure chaos ... exploring the town like a true tourist’. Enzo’s companion Blue also made the attempt but was thwarted at the Rescue’s gate. – Guy Quenneville at CBC
ðïļ Capital ward councillor Shawn Menard wants a winter parking ban on Grove Avenue. Residents have been complaining that since street improvements were made, buses have had trouble navigating the narrowed street in the snow. – Natasha Baldin in the Ottawa Citizen
⊠Lincoln Station passengers have been forced to climb snowbanks as O Train construction has closed a sidewalk.
ðŽ Make alternative plans for your Fort McMurray vacation as Porter Airlines has cancelled its upcoming flights to the City from Ottawa. The YOW – Fort McMurray route was set to begin this spring but has been put aside after the airline revised its plans. – Jon Tupper at Play 107.3
âïļ An unusual notice says the City is seeking a will or next of kin. ‘Anyone having knowledge of the Last Will and Testament and/or heirs of the Estate of Edwin George Young – Born on March 3rd, 1912 in Ontario, Canada – Died on November 24th, 2003 in Ontario, Canada – who previously owned property in and around the Flewellyn Road and Huntley Road area, Stittsville, in the 1970’s.
