🚊 The wheel assemblies of O Train carriages are once more wreaking havoc. Acting out of an ‘abundance of caution’, OC Transpo have reduced service to single carriages – instead of two carriages – even during rush hour to repair the cartridge bearing assemblies. OC Transpo says it noticed flakes breaking off flakes the metal surface inside the axle bearing. The agency says it will not be running a replacement bus service as it is short of buses. – CBC

♨️ Seventy thousand people in central Gatineau are under a boil water advisory. An electrical problem at the drinking water treatment plant caused a shutdown of the pumps. Residents are advised to boil water for one minute – including water intended for pets – and toss any ice made this morning.– Ottawa Sun
🚨 Ottawa police officers have been cleared after a woman in their custody broke her arm. After handcuffing an intoxicated 55 year-old woman last September and escorting her down a stairwell, the woman broke her arm. The Special Investigations Unit has cleared the officers, stating that the woman lost her footing and fell. – Ottawa Citizen
