Now based in Montréal, Ralph has been taking his show all over Ontario – tomorrow is his only Ottawa day.
Ralph wrote and photographed for Cheap Thrills, New York Rocker, BOMP!, and Shades, and his subjects include Iggy Pop, Blondie, Patti Smith, The Diodes, Ramones, The Damned, Bif Naked, Talking Heads, Dead Boys, Richard Hell, The Stranglers, Mo-Dettes, The Curse, Teenage Head, Wendy O Williams, Viletones, Barracudas, The Runaways, The Jam, The Clash, B-Girls, The Nerves, Chelsea and many more.

WHAT OTTAWA IS TALKING ABOUT
🪧 The City has released its list of forbidden protesting zones with some glaring errors. City staff were asked to identify places where allowing protests would cause harm to the people living or working there. Several addresses were completely wrong; one was a government building, which is specifically excluded by the bylaw. The list, which does seem to have been cleaned up, is here. – Alayne McGregor in the Centretown Buzz
🪑 Public Services and Procurement Canada says 10 per cent of federal workers have not been able to meet their mandated four days in the office for lack of space. According to a report, only Statistics Canada and Global Affairs Canada have found a seat for the majority of their staff. – CBC
↪ The Canada Revenue Agency topped the leaderboard of early retirement applications with 1,592 requests.
🚨 If you are looking to have roof work done, avoid the OPP officer and judge in Kanata – they’re fake. The duo — yes, posing as a cop and a judge — approached people for roofing work which was ‘misrepresented or not delivered as promised’.
One of the Ottawa Police Service’s tips for avoiding being scammed is ‘Police officers and judges do not solicit payments or business services from members of the public’. THE OTTAWAN suggests a judge and a police officer seeking roofing work was a red flag in itself. – Josh Pringle at CTV
🏆 The Kiweki Point project has won an Award of Excellence in General Design at the 2026 American Society of Landscape Architects Professional Awards. The former Nepean Point was considered underused, but the new design created a ‘year-round public space with improved access, ecological features, and new pedestrian and cycling connections’. – Construction Canada
↪ City Council approved removing Gladstone Avenue as a truck route and adding bike lanes. The new provincial law regarding bike paths on roads will not apply as no lanes will be removed.
