💲 The Canada Industrial Relations Board has forced the Bank of Canada to stop using replacement security officers. Sixty members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada went on strike June 23 over work-life balance and overtime. The Board says the Bank must resolve it within 48 hours. – Matteo Cimellaro in the Ottawa Citizen
🚨 The Ottawa Police Service has charged one of its members for drunk driving. Constable Mathieu Boucher remains on duty but has been reassigned to administrative duties. He was not on duty when he was arrested. – Ottawa Police Service
↪ A City of Gatineau police constable has been charged with ‘armed assault or causing bodily harm’. The Constable was not suspended as the officer was already on suspension with pay for a previous incident.
🚊 After 44 years, Barrhaven may not have any Canada Day fireworks in the future after organizers step down. The organizers say that they have been unable to attract ‘new blood’ to run the event. – Nathan Fung at CBC

Also at 7:30pm, Ottawa cellist Raphael Weinroth-Browne performs a program of his own works.

The evening concerts include JS Bach and Andrew Balfour: A Dialogue Between A Baroque and an Indigenous Composer, with Ensemble Caprice and Ensemble ArtChoral (Centretown).
